AT A GLANCE

Revision 14 changes the holder address and holder-history entries, revises two engine speed percentages, and changes the 258 RPM power-off rotor limit from a maximum to a minimum. Note 6 also changes “contain” to “contained,” without resolving its existing incomplete concentration wording. The model and serial-number eligibility remain unchanged.

Holder address and history revised

Certificate H10SW; Model 214ST, serial Nos. 28101 and up.

McDermott 214 Holdings, LLC remains the named holder, but its address changes from Anchorage, Alaska, to North Richland Hills, Texas. The holder record removes the August 20, 2026 Anchorage address-change entry and the November 8, 2023 transfer from Erickson 214 Holdings, LLC to McDermott 214 Holdings, LLC. It instead lists Erickson 214 Holdings, LLC with a Central Point, Oregon address. These record edits do not establish a change in the currently named holder.

Engine speed percentages revised

Model 214ST, serial Nos. 28101 and up, with two General Electric CT 7-2A or T700/T2C engines (Type Certificate Data Sheet No. E8NE); maximum continuous and one-engine-inoperative continuous ratings.

In the engine operating limits table's “Gas General Speed” column, maximum continuous speed changes from 93.3% to 98.3%, while the accompanying 43,900 RPM value remains unchanged. One-engine-inoperative continuous speed changes from 101.2% to 101.7%, while 45,240 RPM remains unchanged. The other values in these rows are unchanged; the documents do not explain the percentage-only revisions.

258 RPM power-off rotor limit relabeled as minimum

Model 214ST, serial Nos. 28101 and up, power-off rotor operation.

The power-off rotor limit at 258 RPM changes from “Maximum” to “Minimum.” The associated 90% tachometer reading is unchanged, as are the 301 RPM power-off maximum and the power-on limits.

04

Note 6 fuel-additive wording changed but remains incomplete

Model 214ST, serial Nos. 28101 and up, all operations below 40º F ambient temperature addressed by Note 6.

Note 6 changes “contain” to “contained.” The below-40º F condition, Phillips PFA-55MB reference and printed 0.035% minimum remain unchanged. Both issues contain incomplete wording after “nor more,” so the edit does not establish a clear revised concentration limit. No technical effect can be confidently determined from this wording change alone.

REVISION 13 · BEFORE

NOTE 6 For all operations below 40º F ambient temperature, all fuel used in Model 214ST helicopters must contain Phillips PFA-55MB anti-icing additive in concentration of not less that 0.035% nor more than conducted in the manner prescribed by the Rotorcraft Flight Manual.
